China (October 22-26, 2011)
Beijing China was host to the 5th IMRB conference which was held in conjunction with the 3rd China International Forum on Workplace Emergency Management from October 22 – 26 where mines rescue experts from 22 nations participated. The conference included an underground mine tour at the Kailuan Enterprise in Tangshan where visitors got first hand exposure to a modern Chinese underground coal mine .
The theme of the conference was “Put People First, Cherish Life, Work Hand in Hand to Build a Better Future” .
