Australia (October 5 -11, 2005)
The 2nd IMRB conference was held in Manly NSW Australia just outside of Sydney. Nine case studies and 25 papers were presented to the 120 conference attendees. The focal point of this conference was an interactive workshop addressing jurisdictional differences regarding heat tolerance and different standards for mines rescuers from around the world.
Participants visited underground coal mines where they were exposed to the self-rescue practices commonly followed in Austria’s underground mines.
