Seven teams from six nations participated the second IMRC held in Las Vegas. The White Eagles team from Poland was the overall winner followed by team USA in second place and Doe Run mines rescue team from Peru finished third. The rules for this event were the same rules used for the National Metal /Non- Metal Mine Rescue contest.
A decision was made to host the IMRC biennially hereafter.
